2017\n<\/li>\n<li> Plan the implementation of the <b>OERu 1<sup>st<\/sup> year of study<\/b>\n<\/li>\n<li> Refine the process evaluation plan\n<\/li>\n<li> Consult on the development the OERu Strategic Plan 2018 &#8211; 2020\n<\/li>\n<li> Determine operational priorities for 2018.\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>\n<\/p>\n<p>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>\n<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"mw-headline\" id=\"Engagement\">Engagement<\/span><\/h2>\n<div class=\"panel iDevice\">\n\t<div class=\"panel-heading idevice-heading\">\n\t\t<div>\n\t\t\t<img decoding=\"async\" class=\"pedagogicalicon\" alt=\"key points\" src=\"https:\/\/course.oeru.org\/2017-meetings\/wp-content\/themes\/oeru_course\/idevices\/Icon_key_points.png\">\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<div>\n\t\t\t<h2>Meeting design and principles of engagement<\/h2>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t<\/div>\n\t<div class=\"panel-body\">\n\t\t<div class=\"col-md-12\">\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n<p><i>This is not a conference &#8212; it is an open <b>implementation planning<\/b> meeting which will change the lives of students currently excluded from the formal post-secondary education sector worldwide. The OERu meeting is designed to take the form of a <b>strategic planning sprint<\/b> aimed at producing outputs in a short time utilising the diverse experience of attendees. Using open methodologies, the proposals for action we generate during the meeting will be refined transparently in the wiki after the meeting.<\/i>\n<\/p>\n<p>The meeting agenda is based on the following principles:\n<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li> Build on our OERu decisions, work done to date and inputs from the 2017 Annual report and evergreen <a rel=\"nofollow\" class=\"external text\" href=\"http:\/\/wikieducator.org\/images\/6\/68\/OERu_strategic_plan_2015-2017-Fin-Approved.pdf\">OERu Strategic Plan 2015 &#8211; 2017<\/a>.\n<\/li>\n<li> OERu partners have decision-making autonomy regarding the agenda and implementation decisions.\n<\/li>\n<li> Focus on decisions for the 2017 OERu action plan &#8211; hence the emphasis on planning the launch of the OERu 1st year of study.\n<\/li>\n<li> Identify strategic issues for the medium and long term &#8211; but avoid the temptation of trying to solve all problems at this meeting.\n<\/li>\n<li> Keep presentations and monologues to a minimum.\n<\/li>\n<li> Avoid unnecessary affirmations or agreements with previous speakers.
