modified an existing one, or aga going to use a rubric developed by someone else, before and after you use the rubric you should evaluate it and determine if it is the most appropriate and effective assessed?\n<\/li>\n<li> Does it cover important criteria of the performance?\n<\/li>\n<li> Is the criteria clear and distinct?\n<\/li>\n<li> Does the top end of the rubric reflect competence?\n<\/li>\n<li> Are all performance levels well-defined and distinct?\n<\/li>\n<li> Can the rubric be applied consistently by different href=\"http:\/\/www.austincollege.edu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/03\/RubricforRubrics.pdf\">Rubric for Rubrics<\/a> to evaluate the quality of the rubric.<br \/>\nThis rubric includes definitions of four levels of performance for each of six areas of evaluation criteria:<br \/>\n&#8211;\tclarity of criteria,<br \/>\n&#8211;\tdistinction between levels,<br \/>\n&#8211;\treliability of scoring or judgment,<br \/>\n&#8211;\tclarity of expectations\/guidance to learners,<br \/>\n&#8211;\tsupport of metacognition (awareness of learning), and<br \/>\n&#8211;\tengagement of learners in rubric development\/ use.\n<\/p>\n<p>We suggest you use this rubric or the <a rel=\"nofollow\" class=\"external text\" href=\"https:\/\/wikieducator.org\/images\/1\/1a\/Checklist4Rubrics.pdf\">checklist for
