Some student cohorts may bring combinations and complex needs and requirements to the learning environment.<br \/>\nThese may include, but are not limited to:\n<\/p>\n<p><b>School leavers:<\/b>\n<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li> Young and inexperienced\n<\/li>\n<li> Used to school environment and structured learning\n<\/li>\n<li> Disengaged\n<\/li>\n<li> Age \/ maturity\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>Long term unemployed:<\/b>\n<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li> Disengaged\n<\/li>\n<li> Unsettled\n<\/li>\n<li> Socio economic struggles and impact\n<\/li>\n<li> Access to resources and supports\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>Parents returning to work:<\/b>\n<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li> Family distractions and stresses\n<\/li>\n<li> Time management impact\n<\/li>\n<li> Time since last study\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>Immigrants \/ refugees<\/b>\n<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li> Language of training delivery as a second (or third, fourth) language\n<\/li>\n<li> Trauma from change of country \u2013 experiences associated with this\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>Trainees\/apprentices<\/b>\n<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li> Any of the above may apply\n<\/li>\n<li> Work demands and requirements\n<\/li>\n<li> Workplace learning opportunities\n<\/li>\n<li> Workplace expectations\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>Are any medical issues likely to impact on study and work<\/b>\n<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li> Impaired vision \u2013 glasses, require better lighting, colour blind\n<\/li>\n<li> Impaired hearing \u2013 reduced background noise to support hearing and listening.
