Audacity<\/a> is a free and open-source audio-editing package available for Windows, macOS, and Linux. You can use Audacity to record and edit audio files. In this section, you will download and install Audacity on your computer.\n<\/p>\n

Purpose<\/b>: Install a free and open-source software application to record and edit audio files\n<\/p>\n

Note: The file download is approximately 28MB and may take some time to download on a low band-width connection. If more than one teacher at your school is participating in this course, to save on data we suggest that one person downloads the software which you can share ‘offline’ using a portable flash drive.\n<\/p>\n
