Learning output actions

Make a copy of your essay. You can call it v4 for version 4 or anything that makes sense to you. The goal is to be able to see the progression of your essay from one step of the revision process to the next. If you prefer, you can also print a copy.

Prepare a blog post that shows the following (cut and paste affected sentences):

  1. Before and after sentences where you have made edits (including punctuation) and a short explanation as to why you changed them using the concepts from your readings.
  2. Before and after or new sentences that you edited using parallel structure.
  3. A short paragraph outlining whether you think parallelism improves your writing and how.

Remember to tag (WordPress) or label (Blogger) your blog post using the course tag: Revising and polishing your writing/enga104/tag

Note that you can also record your reflections in a written journal, if you prefer, but sharing your insights with your classmates means that you can trigger a discussion that may lead to a deeper understanding as we can all benefit from each other’s experience.
