The EXTEND course modules provide an immersive experience for participants, with hands-on practice that will empower them to design learning experiences and resources to better suit the needs of their students. We believe that digital fluency and the ability to make informed choices about the use of technology-enabled learning tools and practices is a process not a product, and consequently requires an immersive experience for 21st century educators.\n<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"mw-headline\" id=\"About_this_site\">About this site<\/span><\/h2>\n<p>This website was published by the <a rel=\"nofollow\" class=\"external text\" href=\"https:\/\/www.col.org\/\">Commonwealth of Learning<\/a> to facilitate a feasibility study to be conducted by <a rel=\"nofollow\" class=\"external text\" href=\"http:\/\/www.ku.ac.ke\/\">Kenyata University<\/a> to review the EXTEND professional development modules. The original materials were developed and successfully implemented by <a rel=\"nofollow\" class=\"external text\" href=\"https:\/\/www.ecampusontario.ca\/\">eCampusOntario<\/a> in Canada. Published as open educational resources (OER) they can be adapted for the African context. The <a rel=\"nofollow\" class=\"external text\" href=\"https:\/\/oeru.org\">OERu<\/a> is providing hosting services for the project review site, based on a derivative of the <a rel=\"nofollow\" class=\"external text\" href=\"https:\/\/oerfoundation.org\/2020\/08\/28\/ontario-extend-going-global-with-oeru\/\">New Zealand customization<\/a>.\n<\/p>\n<p>This draft website will be used as the starting point for identifying localisation needs to publish a customised <i>EXTEND Africa<\/i> professional development programme.\n<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"mw-headline\" id=\"Instructions_for_reviewing_content_modules\">Instructions for reviewing content modules<\/span><\/h2>\n<h3><span class=\"mw-headline\" id=\"Finding_the_content_modules\">Finding the content modules<\/span><\/h3>\n<p>There are six Extend modules. We invite you to review the content.
