Refugees<\/b> Refugees are legally defined in the 1951 Convention Relating to the Status of Refugees. Refugees are people who have left their country due to a well-founded fear of being persecuted, on grounds such as race, religion or political opinion.

Refoulement\/non-refoulement<\/b> Refoulement is the returning of a refugee to the state from which s\/he sought refuge. The principle of non-refoulement is an important principle in international law, which forbids the return of a refugee to their country of origin, where they may experience persecution.
