Throughout the project, lots of material is created in the form of approvals, sign-offs, contracts, status reports etc. Given that these were all designed consciously, a project manager must also consider how evidence of the project’s progress and completion will be stored and made available to the organisation, now that the project has been completed. Often these documents provide significant information and capture knowledge that may be useful for future projects. They also provide an evidence trail should any element of the project be contested.
