This is the most accommodating of licenses offered. Recommended for maximum dissemination and use of licensed materials. This license is often compared to \u201ccopyleft\u201d free and open source software licenses. All new works based on yours will carry the same license, so any derivatives will also allow commercial use. The &#8220;Free Cultural Works approved&#8221; logo signifies that these licenses meet the requirements of the  <a href=\"\/Wikieducator_tutorial\/What_is_free_content\/Free_content_defined\" title=\"Wikieducator tutorial\/What is free content\/Free content defined\">free cultural works definition<\/a> derived from the essential freedoms. Significant open content projects like <a href=\"\/Main_Page\" title=\"Main Page\">WikiEducator<\/a>, <a rel=\"nofollow\" class=\"external text\" href=\"http:\/\/www.wikipedia.org\/\">Wikipedia<\/a> (including the sister projects hosted by the <a rel=\"nofollow\" class=\"external text\" href=\"http:\/\/www.wikimedia.org\/\">Wikimedia Foundation<\/a>) and <a rel=\"nofollow\" class=\"external text\" href=\"http:\/\/cnx.org\/\">Connexions<\/a> use free cultural works licenses.<br style=\"clear:both;\"><\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"mw-headline\" id=\"Test_your_knowledge:_choose_a_license\">Test your knowledge: choose a license<\/span><\/h2>\n<p>The <a rel=\"nofollow\" class=\"external text\" href=\"http:\/\/creativecommons.org\">Creative Commons website<\/a> provides a free online tool which you may use to <a rel=\"nofollow\" class=\"external text\" href=\"http:\/\/creativecommons.org\/choose\/\">license your work<\/a>. The tool is designed to generate information about a particular license and the code to display the license on a website. We make use of this tool in the following practice activity.\n<\/p>\n<div class=\"panel iDevice\">\n\t<div class=\"panel-heading idevice-heading\">\n\t\t<div>\n\t\t\t<img decoding=\"async\" class=\"pedagogicalicon\" alt=\"activity\" src=\"https:\/\/course.oeru.org\/lida100\/wp-content\/themes\/oeru_course\/idevices\/Icon_activity.png\">\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<div>\n\t\t\t<h2>Activity<\/h2>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t<\/div>\n\t<div class=\"panel-body\">\n\t\t<div class=\"col-md-12\">\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n<p>The purpose of this activity is to test your knowledge of the different CC licensing terms when choosing a specific license. In each case we provide the license and you must decide whether commercial use is allowed and the permissions associated with modifications of the work by answering the questions provided for the <a rel=\"nofollow\" class=\"external text\" href=\"http:\/\/creativecommons.org\/choose\/\">license chooser<\/a> on the Creative Commons website.\n<\/p>\n<p>For each question below:\n<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li> Access the &#8220;<a rel=\"nofollow\" class=\"external text\" href=\"http:\/\/creativecommons.org\/choose\/\">Choose a license<\/a>&#8221; tool at the Creative Commons website.\n<\/li>\n<li> Answer the provided questions to achieve the indicated license.\n<\/li>\n<li> Note that for the purposes of this activity you may select &#8220;International&#8221; for the &#8220;Jurisdiction of your license&#8221; (which specifies an unported license) and you are not required to provide &#8220;Additional Information&#8221; relating to the license format, title, etc.\n<\/li>\n<li> Click the &#8220;Select a License&#8221;
