Traditionnellement, la diffusion des connaissances scientifiques est assur\u00e9e par des revues \u00e0 comit\u00e9 de lecture. Les marges b\u00e9n\u00e9ficiaires des \u00e9diteurs scientifiques sont sup\u00e9rieures \u00e0 30&nbsp;%, contre 12 \u00e0 15&nbsp;% pour les \u00e9diteurs de magazines (Buranyi, 2017<sup id=\"cite_ref-1\" class=\"reference\"><a href=\"#cite_note-1\">[1]<\/a><\/sup>). De 1978 \u00e0 2014, le co\u00fbt des manuels universitaires a augment\u00e9 de plus de 800&nbsp;%, soit une hausse trois fois sup\u00e9rieure \u00e0 l\u2019inflation observ\u00e9e pour la m\u00eame p\u00e9riode (Moules, 2016<sup id=\"cite_ref-2\" class=\"reference\"><a href=\"#cite_note-2\">[2]<\/a><\/sup>). C\u2019est l\u2019acc\u00e8s libre \u00e0 la recherche scientifique qui lui a permis de conduire ses travaux de recherche r\u00e9compens\u00e9s par plusieurs prix.
