\nWelcome to Research Methods and Design! The subject provides theoretical and practical foundation for a research proposal. The subject will familiarise student with research methods appropriate for investigating current issues in a global environment.\n<\/p>\n

This course is part of the Open Education Resource universitas (OERu.org<\/a>) and can be undertaken for free (without obtaining credit) at any time but assessments will not be graded.\n<\/p>\n

For a fee, students can also be accredited for the subject upon the successful completion of the assessment tasks. These gradually build students’ research planning and design skills and conclude with a written research proposal and a presentation. On completion of this and the other University of Wollongong OERu subject, students can apply for entry into the Masters of International Studies. Students may be eligible for advance standing in this degree.\n<\/p>\n

Students doing the course at the University of Wollongong enrol as per their normal subjects; they participate in face-to-face seminars and have additional lecturer support.\n<\/p>\n
