Learn to design and plan research on current global issues. The subject provides theoretical and practical foundation for a research proposal. The subject will familiarise student with research methods appropriate for investigating current issues in a global environment.<\/p>\n

The subject involves a range of activities, which gradually build students’ research planning and design skills. These assessment items build towards and conclude with a written research proposal.\n<\/p>\n

This material forms part of a Masters of International Studies at the University of Wollongong (UOW).\n<\/p>\n

It can also be used by any interested student as a self-paced study resource. It was developed as part of the work of the University of Wollongong to develop free learning opportunities for the Open Education Resource Universitas (OERu).\n<\/p>\n

All resources, activities and instructions are online. Some instructions are aimed at UOW students who also have classes and submit assessments for marking. Please ignore these instructions if you are a non UOW or self-paced OERu student.\n<\/p>\n
