For this subject, you will need to access the course discussion forum.  You may also use Twitter to share ideas and follow international research centers.  Here&#8217;s how you get them..\n<\/p>\n<p>\n<b>Required: Access the course discussion forum<\/b>\n<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li> The course discussion forum is located <a rel=\"nofollow\" class=\"external text\" href=\"https:\/\/forums.oeru.org\/t\/research-methods-and-design-course-discussion-space\/38\">here<\/a>\n<\/li>\n<li> To write in it, you will need to create and account by clicking on the &#8216;sign up&#8217; button on the top righthand corner.\n<ul>\n<li> Put in an active email address\n<\/li>\n<li> Choose your own username\n<\/li>\n<li> Put in the name by which you will be called in this subject\n<\/li>\n<li> Use a password that you will remember\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li> You will receive an activation email. Follow the instructions.\n<\/li>\n<li> Once your account is activated, you can start writing in the forum.\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>Optional: Create a Twitter account<\/b>\n<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li> Researchers, modern diplomats, and UN and other organisational officials use twitter actively to promote their activities and link to key documents.  Having a Twitter account will allow you to access these.\n<\/li>\n<li> As the subject progresses you will be able to converse with your peers by using the hashtag #UOWResM. The hashtag allows to you filter and find tweets on a similar topic.\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><i><b>Instructions<\/b><\/i>\n<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li> Firstly, got to twitter.com and set yourself up an account.\n<\/li>\n<li> When choosing a Twitter handle (your name), try to choose something short and sharp.\n<\/li>\n<li> If you are worried about anonymity, use your student login, and delete it after the class.\n<\/li>\n<li> Need help setting up your Twitter account?
