An introductory note about “e-learning activities”<\/span><\/h2>\n

This course incorporates a number of structured e-Learning activities (or called “e-tivities”). The term \u2018e-tivity\u2019 was coined by Professor Salmon (2002[1]<\/a><\/sup>). It simply refers to a framework for activities and interactive learning that are conducted online. AST1000 uses Salmon\u2019s model of e-tivities to guide you in selecting course content via OER. Called here e-learning activities, the e-learning activities frame what you are looking for, how long you should spend on the e-learning activity, and how you should present your findings each week so learning becomes interactive. All e-learning activities referred to in this Study Guide are located on the Course Study Desk. When directed to begin an e-learning activity, you should make your way to the e-learning activity on the StudyDesk and follow its directions.\n<\/p>\n
