In this session we learn about Absolutism in Europe, the Middle East and Asia. We examine the ideological justifications for Absolutism, and the opposition that arose to this system of government. You can begin Session 4<\/a> here.\n<\/p>\n

Absolutism may seem foreign to many of us, but it had strong supporters during this historical period, such as Jean Domat (you will read an extract from his writing in this session).
