Overview

In the previous learning pathways, we learnt about the general principles of effective communication with a business audience – whatever the medium of communication. Building on that knowledge, this learning pathway now focuses on the principles of good writing for business contexts. We start by considering similarities and differences between written and oral communication and then look at the styles and tools that can be used in business writing to build communication bridges with your audience and overcome common barriers. We will also give an overview of some of the legal implications of business writing.

The learning pathway finishes with a page of optional additional resources to help you continue developing your writing skills.
