What’s involved?

This course is offered as a micro open online course. In this course, you will learn how to prepare,organize, and create different types of presentations expected in business contexts. These include informative and persuasive speeches, elevator pitches, telephone sales scripts, media interviews, sound bites, and more. You will also learn various strategies to overcome common communication barriers and use nonverbal techniques, which will empower you to deliver effective presentations for diverse audiences.

What prerequisites should I have, if any?

Anyone is free to participate in this CCOM 102 micro course. An Internet connection and basic web browsing skills are recommended. Learners should have the ability to create a personal blog, post microblog comments, participate in an open discussion forum (instructions are provided), and working knowledge of office software and file management.

Learners will need to meet the normal university admission requirements of the conferring institution (e.g., language proficiency and school leaving certificates).
