Creating and conducting engaging activities provides your learner with the opportunity to refine the skills and knowledge required for them to reach the outcomes outlined in their course.
In a blended delivery model you might conduct some of these activities in the classroom or online.
If you are a workplace trainer and assessor, many of these activities will occur organically in the workplace when the timing is right.
Designing activities begins at your planning stage. This occurs when you complete the OARAS document.
When designing activities for online learning you should think about what works well in your face to face classes or in the workshop and think of creative ways that you can transfer this into your online platform.
It is good practice to refer to past session plans in your field of expertise to assist you to decide “what works well”, “what doesn’t work so well”.
