In Session 2 we learn about Global Trade. The first component of the session, Global Trade: Europe, the Middle East and Asia explores the major trade networks in the 1600s, and their differing political and economic impacts in Europe, Asia and the Middle East. The second component of the session, The Impact of Global Trade considers how this trade led to a major shift in the balance of power in Europe, changed the economic relationship between East and West, and led to profound ecological changes.
