Learning challenge tasks

  1. Consider your chosen work. If you do not know what this is consider something you are passionate about and would like to develop.
  2. Identify your purpose. Answer these questions with one sentence as short as possible in your learning journal.
    • Why do you do it?
    • How do you do it?
    • What you do?
    • (note this is tricky and may take years to get clear- so make a start- it can always change)
  3. Develop a strong vision.
    • Imagine you have succeeded in your work. What scene do you imagine? How does it feel? Where are you? Are you alone or are others with you? Capture this in a short story in your learning journal. (eg I imagine successfully landing a person on the moon and the celebration, noise, inspiration, engineering feat, team work, motivation for further exploration and it feels exhilarating…..)
    • Take this narrative and capture its essence as a single statement or goal. (Reminder you do not need to know how to achieve this) (eg A person on the moon within 10 years)
  4. Write this in your learning journal.
