There are several ways in which you can integrate sources in your essay to support your arguments, each one with its own set of rules.
Now consider the following questions:
- Would you rather read the exact words written by a source?
- Do you feel more connected with a writer when they explain the ideas of their sources in their own words?
- How would you go about inserting sources?
