In this next video, we pinpoint a number of examples of low-cost approaches aimed at keeping participants engaged. Taking ‘low-cost’ to include resources such as time and effort – not just money – we consider the importance of applying this low-cost concept  to students –  too much effort will result in excessive dropout rate!
We also comment on the asynchronicity of courses and its consequences.
We suggest several activities to engage students in the course, e.g., contributing to Wikipedia or using other Internet tools.
