If you are about to select a platform for your MOOC you should watch the two videos below.  The first one systematically looks at a set of issues or criteria that you should consider.  Many may not be relevant to you but you should consider them before ruling them out.  The second on describes the use of a spreadsheet to score the various options available to you.  (The video also makes some subjective comments on the various platforms currently available)  Below that there are links to access or download the spreadsheet if you wish to use it.  If you have any questions or comments on this, please post them on the discussion forum at the bottom.
By the way, the second video is an example of producing learning content by “screen sharing” and has been relatively casually created in the style of a teacher describing what he/she is doing on a screen in front of a class.  You may find it useful to think about this style of content creation (and how it could be improved).
